History

History: Evangelical – Pittsburgh Conference. On April 29, 1881 at a Quarterly Conference held in Zion Church, it was decided to erect a Church in Ligonier. A brick building was erected on East Main Street in 1883. A later Church was dedicated June 1, 1924 as First Evangelical Church of Ligonier. The name was changed at merger in 1970, from First Church to Calvary Church.
